In 2002, the Ecotoxicology, Animal Husbandry, and Food Industry Technologies Fascicle appeared in the Annals of the University of Oradea due to the increasing national and international interest regarding food safety. The journal includes original scientific articles selected and presented within the annual international symposia that are organized by the Faculty of Environmental Protection. As a result, the annual periodicity of the journal is uninterrupted until today. The number of participants from Romania, especially those from abroad, increased from one year to the next. Until 2018, the titles of the two symposia were: Risk Factors for Environment and Food Safety and Natural Resources and Sustainable Development. The symposia were held in collaboration with the University of Debrecen (Hungary), University of Szeged (Hungary), Technological Education Institute of Thessaloniki (Greece), University of Valladolid (Spain), University of Leon (Spain), University of Agriculture Nitra (Slovakia), the Academic Society for Environmental Protection from Romania and under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Research from Romania. Starting from 2021, the title of the annual international symposium, organized in November by the Faculty of Environmental Protection, is: "Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities."
